Drive (chariot) [Dex]
Allows the character to drive a chariot. See the general drive skill
in Chapter Two of the core True20 rulebook.
- Sideswipe
- When beside an enemy chariot, you can choose to sideswipe them as a standard action by making opposed drive checks. If successful, you do damage equal to
the strength bonus of your chariot divided by 10.
Perform (gladiator) [Cha]
You are trained to not just fight but entertain in the arena. May be
used at the end of a successful match, to influence the crowd.
- Play to the Crowd:
- When two gladiators are engaged in
single combat, they begin each round with opposed perform checks as free actions.
Each condition of hurt, wounded, bruised, or dazed applies a -1
penalty to the check. The winner of the check gains a bonus to
attacks and damage for one round. The size of the bonus depends on the
margin of victory:
| Margin |
Bonus |
| 0-4 | +1 |
| 5-9 | +2 |
| 10-14 | +3 |
| 15+ | +4 |
- Mercy:
- When one gladiator surrenders or is unable to
fight any longer, his fate is at the mercy of the mob. He must make a
perform check to influence an indifferent crowd. A result of less
than friendly (DC 15) means death. The gladiator cannot take 10 on
this check.
