Gault is from Gunderland originally, 30 miles south of Raman, near the Valkia River. He served as a scout in the Goralian Hills. His wife and young son were murdered along with other villagers while he was away. He never did find out who the marauding band was. This left him moody and depressed. He renounced Mitra. He is left without a family or hope, and is now basically a wanderer, doing what he can to earn some coin and take his mind off of his loss.
